Florida East Coast Railway tested its first revenue-service liquefied natural gas locomotives and tender consist on an overnight Jacksonville, Fla., to Miami train June 8. Shortly after sunrise June 10, the revenue train returned north as FEC train 226. That northbound train crossed the San Sebastian River at St. Augustine, Fla., with FEC ES44C4 No. 800, General Electric GECX No. 3000, and a tender leading. The consist was unaided by standard diesel-fuel-only locomotives.
