SEATTLE — A woman was killed after becoming caught between the platform and a train at the Mount Baker station on Seattle’s light-rail system, the Seattle Times reports.
The accident occurred about 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, with the Seattle Fire Department saying the woman was extricated by paramedics but was pronounced dead at the scene. Shuttle buses replaced light rail service for much of the afternoon, with Sound Transit saying regular service had resumed about 5 p.m., although delays would continue.
