All-new episodes of Cody’s Office are back into production! That’s right, the popular Trains.com Video series returns at the Firecrown Media offices in suburban Milwaukee, Wis. The setting may be different, but Model Railroader Senior Editor Cody Grivno returns with all of your favorite segments, including new products, a modeling tip, and viewer mail.

Four products are featured in the April 2025 episode of Cody’s Office. Leading things off is the WalthersMainline HO scale Electro-Motive Division SD60 with a Spartan Cab. That’s followed by the Moloco HO scale 50-foot hi-cube boxcar with exterior posts. Then we turn our attention to N scale, taking a look at the newly tooled Budd dome coach from RailSmith Models. The product section concludes with a look at Jeff Wilson’s new book Weathering Models, which you can purchase at shop.trains.com or from your favorite Firecrown Media retailer.

In place of the modeling tip, Cody visits with Trains.com Director David Popp about the East Troy Industrial Park, our new HO scale project featuring the Milwaukee, Racine & Troy; East Troy Railroad Museum; and Canadian National. The layout will appear in a multi-part series in Model Railroader starting in January 2026. Plus, you can also monitor construction progress via the Trains.com Video Workshop Webcam!

We wrap things up with viewer mail. In this episode we help diagnose two HO scale diesel locomotives that aren’t running properly, learn why wood ties are used under grade crossings on a Florida line, identify a Pennsylvania RR steam locomotive, and take a closer look at a pair of rail-served businesses featured in our special issue Best of Industries.
