  1. Robert Nesbitt found the article I was looking for. Thanks so much for your help Robert .

  2. Greetings Cody. I have been asking a question of fellow train enthusiasts. I’ve heard a few creative ideas, but nobody has been definitive. Perhaps you can enlighten all of us. I have read about narrow gauge locomotives built in Schenectady from the 1920’s on back. These locomotives were mostly in service in places like Alaska and Colorado. So, how does one move a narrow gauge locomotive on regular railroad tracks from New York to Colorado using 19th and early 20th century technology? Thanks.

  3. Thanks Codie I really appreciate all of the information that you provide to all of us. Thanks Again
    Best Regards, Jerry Ryan

  4. Hey Cody in episode 44 of Cody’s workshop, you re-purposed an ICG covered hopper and demonstrated applying new individual reporting numbers to the sides, but what I really wanted to see was how you do the much smaller ones on the car ends. That is becoming a near impossible task for us senior modelers these days, even with the head gear magnifiers. Any helpful tips?

  5. Cody, I found the SOO combine article fairly quickly. May 1985, page 86. Hope this helps Bob with his project.

  6. Cody,
My detective skills aren’t working that well. Do you recall an article on upgrading older Athearn “blue box” locos to DCC? Can you lead me in the right direction?

  7. Cody,

I have been some some decoder installs. Do you know a good reference for identifying air horns. I would like to pick the correct horns for a given loco when I can.
