    Does the VTR still run the GATX TankTrain cars from Albany to Burlington? They were bold in leasing 21 TankTrain tank cars in the late 1970's, which resulted in the elimination of the fuel barges on Lake Champlain, lower fuel costs in Vermont and new business for the VTR.

    Former Vermont Rail Alco S4 number 6 is at Empire District power plant near Asbury, Mo. It has not been used for some time. The paint has faded and some of the VR markings are still visible. Several pictures are on RR picture archives website.
