PORT CLINTON, Pa. — The Railroad Historians of the Lehigh Valley and the Lehigh Valley Chapter, National Railway Historical Society are sponsoring a “rare mileage” excursion on the Reading & Northern Railroad on April 15.

R&N Budd Rail Diesel Cars will cover several lines. A revised trip plan includes the P&R mainline, the Mine Hill and Schuylkill branch lines, and will visit Tremont and Minersville. A stop to see restored Central Railroad of New Jersey 0-6-0 No. 113 in Minersville is planned.

Fare is $119 and includes rail fare, lunch, and photo run-bys. The train will depart from Port Clinton at 9 a.m. Tickets may be ordered by mailing a check with a stamped self-addressed to Kermit Geary, Jr., 1266 Riverview Drive, Walnutport, PA 18088.
