SINGAPORE — InnoTrans, the massive rail trade fair held in Berlin every other year, has announced it will launch an Asian edition in 2027. The new event will be held in the off years of the Berlin event.
“InnoTrans Asia is an important addition to the world’s leading trade fair in Berlin and enriches our international event portfolio,” Dirk Hoffman, chief operating offer at event organizer Messe Berlin, said in a press release. “While InnoTrans Berlin will remain the centerpiece of the industry, we intend to establish InnoTrans Asia as a link between emerging markets and global innovations. Messe Berlin’s decision to establish InnoTrans Asia in Singapore capitalizes on the region’s substantial investments in rail transport infrastructure.”
The Singapore event, set for Sept. 7-9, 2027, will showcase railway technology and infrastructure, public transport, interiors, and tunnel construction. It will be held at the Singapore Expo convention center, which has more than 1 million square feet of indoor exhibit space across 10 buildings.
“Asia is investing heavily in expanding its rail transport infrastructure for both passengers and freight transport,” said Kai Mangelberger, senior vice president of mobility at Messe Berlin. “The demand for modern rail transport technology, automation and sustainable solutions is increasing in China, India and many other countries in Southeast Asia. With InnoTrans Asia, we are creating a central platform for the Asian market — right here in Singapore.”
The new event features first-mover offers for exhibitors. More information at the InnoTrans website.
The next edition of InnoTrans is set for Sept. 22-25, 2026, in Berlin.
InnoTrans is definitely a master of its craft.
