Five trains between Toronto and Windsor were rerouted via CN’s Guelph Subdivision, while three others were cancelled entirely.

VIA service has been restored today, although as of noon ET, three of the  trains on the Toronto-Windsor route were running one to four hours late.

  1. A minor derailment… As always, bus service covered missed stops along the regular route.

  2. Yes, GREGG. I’m certain we have detailed information regarding derailments in Russia, and that it’s a true apples-to-apples comparison. Of course, considering those points might deter you from making one of your typical anti-corporate comments.

  3. Derailments, just part of doing business. Fred Fraily reported derailments in Russia were a small fraction of the US; no doubt Europe and China also perform better.

Gotta keep those 40% margins coming!

    1. Anyone who would believe a statistic out of Russia would believe that Joe Stalin was the finest man ever to lead a nation.

      Gregg, you’ve got a case.
