PITTSBURGH — The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen has reached agreement on a tentative four-year deal with Pittsburgh’s Union Railroad, the union has announced.
The contract, retroactive to 2024 and running through July 2028, includes raises of 4% in 2024, 4% in 2025, 3.5% in 2026, and 3.5% in 2027. It also includes changes to personal leave provisions and an increased employer match to 401(k) programs. Ratification ballots are due May 22.
The 128-mile Union Railroad serves three U.S. Steel facilities and provides interchange with Norfolk Southern, CSX, Canadian National (Bessemer & Lake Erie) and Wheeling & Lake Erie.
