CHICAGO — Anacostia Rail Holdings has named Todd Nuelle as its new chief commercial officer, the company announced today.
Nuelle — who joins Anacostia from Canadian National — will succeed Eric Jakubowski, who is retiring. Jakubowski joined Anacostia in 2012 and is credited by the company with playing a key role in strengthening its commercial strategy and customer relationships.
At CN, Nuelle was senior director of supply chain operations, managing the Great Lakes business unit that included rail, dock, and vessel operations for 90 million tons of product annually. He also oversaw CN automotive logistics operations and 31 transload facilities across North America. He has spent more than 25 years in transportation and logistics, also holding position at Hub Group and CSX Intermodal.
“I’m excited to join Anacostia and help shape the next phase of growth for a company with such a strong reputation for service, innovation, and local engagement,” Nuelle said in a press release. “This is a pivotal time in freight rail and logistics, and I look forward to working with the team to expand our reach and deliver exceptional value to our customers.”
Anacostia owns and operates six short lines nationwide, handing more than 2 million carloads annually.
Is this Nuelle related to the Nuelle who was head of the D&H, the NYO&W and other roads?
