Details are what make any scene on a model railroad come alive! In the final installment of this mini-series, Gerry Leone works to add those to his streets, sidewalks, and storefronts of Eagle Lake. Watch to see how Gerry arranges components on the workbench, before they all come together on the layout.

I use “Scenic Sand” from Hobby Lobby. They have it in 12 different colors, but only 4 or 5 would work in most modeling applications. But you can always mix different colors then tint them later.
The Black works good for HO scale coal and Beige or yellow sand works good for my Gold mine.
Of course there are other companies that have sand, Amazon has it in different textures and colors.
