David, Great video on painting and weathering the stockcar. It looks absolutely gorgeous. I have always admired weathered rolling stock but have been afraid to try it myself. Your video laid everything out so nicely that I am inspired to try weathering my rolling stock. Thanks.
David, I know you were nursing an injury. Is the layout project you wanted to do in an office of MR now off the table? You have since worked the Olympia project for some time. Thanks
The package of cows is for the Olympia 3 extension for the stock pen. I started early on some detail painting on the figures when I noticed it came with cow chips and thought, “Hey, I could use those in the stock car.” So no, I didn’t buy the cows just for the chips, even though it appears that way in the video.
So why did you open a package of cows just to use the cow-chips? Couldn’t you have made some very realistic looking chips from some black caulk or something?
Burger Break ! LOL Mine with cheese and bacon and ketchup ! Love the serie look forward for the next one. Thanks to you I have discovered chipping solution. Yesterday I bought it at my local hobby store. I’ll try it on a building soon.
When livestock required watering and feeding the train was stopped and the livestock unloaded temporarily into pens alongside the tracks. So more likely straw rather than hay would be found on the floor of the car.
This whole series has motivated me to really get serious about working on my layout. Fantastic projects which can be generalized to just about anything. I plan to retire soon and work will continue in earnest! Thanks again for this whole series and the Summer Camp idea. Keep the videos coming please!!!
What’s this “burger break” jive? Certainly not like any summer camp I ever knew. Over cooked, cold hot dogs is more like it. I liked to use grimy black with a bit of gloss mixed in to give it a more oily look.
Oh no, camps almost over! Just one more episode to go, Summer is almost gone and we have to go back to school next week! Oh wait… I forgot.. I’m retired !

Great video, as always. Thank you (from Europe) for using millimeters. 🙂

Very good as usual David, a great all round high quality series. Thanks, Nigel

One more Summer Camp video yet to come!

More cowchips! And more cowbell!
Great looking car. At last the food’s getting better! When do we swim?
