A man talks to a laptop computer sitting on a train layout and gestures at the rest of the layout behind him.
Man: Welcome to our first Zoom operating session!

  1. A couple of model railroaders at our church have been putting on a train show at Christmas for the past ten years or so. We usually have it at the church the Sunday before Christmas, and kids and adults both enjoy touring it before and after services. Then came COVID-19. No in-person church services, what to do? The last two years we have held the show on Zoom, with breakout rooms for each person’s layout. I had my laptop mounted on a temporary shelf in one corner for the overall view of the layout, then used my iPhone for close-ups & following the train. Won’t let a pandemic stop us!
