Short line association resumes in-person meetings with two regional events in June

American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association logoThe American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association will resume in-person meetings with two regional gatherings in June: The Central/Pacific Region meeting will be held June 7-9 at the Downtown Marriott in Kansas City, and the Eastern/Southern Regional Meeting will be June 21-23 at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, Ky. Midwest Association of Rail Shippers sets July meeting at Lake Geneva

The Midwest Association of Rail Shippers will also return to in-person meetings with its summer meeting, to be held July 12-13 at the Grand Geneva Resort and Spa in Lake Geneva, Wis. While the program has not yet been announced, MARS President Stefan Loeb says the meeting will feature “eight top-tier transportation speakers.” More information and links to meeting registration and hotel information are available here.

NRC offers members free webinar on sustainability

The National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association will hold a webinar on trends in sustainability, highlighting Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts in the industry. The 1-hour webinar, on Tuesday, April 20, at 3 p.m. EDT, is for NRC members only and is free. Panelists will include Megan E Atkinson, manager, environmental program at CSX; Kayden Howard, vice president health, safety and environment at Kansas City Southern, and David Huck, director of sustainability at Canadian Pacific.
