PORT CLINTON, Pa. — Jeff Knadler has been promoted to assistant vice president-passenger at the Reading & Northern, the railroad has announced.

Knadler, who started with the R&N as a freight conductor in 2007 and advanced to designated supervisor of locomotive engineers, has most recently served as senior director of the passenger department. In that role, he oversees operations on the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway as well as the work of the R&N’s two regional passenger directors, Tim Wright (Lehigh Division) and Sabrina Kennedy (Reading Division.)
The railroad credits Knadler with a major role in the development of passenger operations, including work to help locate new rolling stock and the inception of King Coal Café food service. He can sometimes be seen at the throttle of R&N passenger moves.
More on the railroad is available at its website and its passenger site.
