DENVER — The Regional Transportation District will permanently discontinue two light rail lines that had been dropped during the COVID-19 pandemic as part of schedule changes beginning in January.
Dropped will be the C line, from Denver Union Station to the Littleton-Mineral station, and the F line, from 18th and California in downtown Denver to RidgeGate Parkway in Lone Tree. Those routes have been consolidated with other lines — with the D replacing the C and the E replacing the F.
In announcing the changes — which come as the same time as a number of modifications to bus lines, the RTD said they support the System Optimization Plan released in July, “which aimes to increase ridership and address changing travel needs while improving service performance, efficiency, and quality.”
