  1. Hi Cody, I have been attempting to find passenger car bogies equivalent to the sprung metal frame bogies made by Tenshodo from the 1970s.
At best I have been able to get some bogies made by Central Valley but these are in very scarce supply.
Do you know of any currently manufactured products which would be available on the market today.
    Regards
    Greg Keliher (Australia)

  2. Hi Cody,
Is there any chance us N scale modelers will see a MR&T 2 bay covered hopper? It does not have to be a kit. I’ve been trying to collect all the N scale MR&T cars as they become available and would like to add one of these cars to my roster.

    Thanks in advance,
    Richard Shirey
    Baden, PA

  3. I built the MR&T 2 bay hopper when it arrived this past week. It’s a nice car and fairly easy kit to build.

  4. Re transporting a narrow-gauge loco to another part of the country: in the UK, new locos and passenger rolling stock cars are regularly transported using flat-bed trucks on the regular roads (even though the standard gauge is the same).

    1. At first I thought this idea wouldn’t work for the 19th/early 20th centuries as I wasn’t sure how you would get the equipment off of the flat car. However, I just read that hydraulic cranes were used as early as 1860, way earlier than I suspected. Thanks for the response. And thanks Cody for addressing the question.

  5. Cody,
I have an HO Scale Athearn blue box wide vision caboose. It has no window “glass” at all, just openings. What do you suggest to use as window “glass” in this situation?

  6. Thanks Cody for the product reviews. it’s good to see that another manufacturer is producing Alco engines again. They are one of a kind and that engine sound is quite unique.

  7. Thanks Cody, those Alco locomotives have the most unique sound to them! Additionally, thanks for answering my decaling question… yes, I’ve been using that grouping technique for sometime now, but when I’m trying to make a prototype model, the sequencing becomes a little more troublesome. Cheers to the MR and Trains.com gang!

  8. I go one step further on my paperwork: I use the FRA 92 day blue card and got a copy of a prototype railroads pink daily card for my model railroad
