In this episode of Midday Modeler — 10-05-22 Bryson Sleppy and Brian Schmidt are reporting from the Rail Park in Rochelle, Illinois. A tour of the park and layout discussions ensue. Plus, a special “drop-in” from another Trains.com staff member!
Midday Modeler is a new, regular video segment, recorded on-site and unscripted from Kalmbach Media beginning in February 2022.
The segment features Kalmbach Media staff modeling and talking about model railroads in a casual format. It is unscripted and presented via Trains.com on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. Central time each week.
Good-Fun Video, Thanks!!! However, where are the videos of Gerry Leoni and others. showing their progress on their layouts? I would like to see what is goig on.
now this video would have been even more interesting if the camera had been pointed towards the trains, there are some there, and at the same time the interesting conversation still could be heard. Looking at these gentlemen is not as interesting as trains. sorry about that.
I would echo Ray Schoonmaker’s observation.
Over two weeks ago I made a similar comment regarding the websites poor structure, lack of new content and failure to link to MRVP and was asked to be patient, as the new site, apparently under development for over a year, was getting closer. No specifics were provided.
As I wait, I too notice that this series is all we seem to be receiving despite the literal barrage of emails I received imploring me to join the much heralded Trains.com.
I cannot find a layout visit posted after April 22nd and Jerry Leone’s Back on Track series has been stalled since July 31st, just to name two. One does not have to look far in the comments to get a sense that the community seems to be less than impressed with what at least one subscriber described as nothing more than an aggressive advertising campaign. I would appreciate a more specific schedule as to when we can expect to see the new “Trains.com Video” content. Quite frankly, this is a business folks, I’m certain you have a plan and schedule. We the subscribers have done our part.
Interesting that the sound quality is better outside of the MR workshop, even with locomotives idling near-by, than it is in the “controlled” environment.
Are these the only videos we can expect going forward? They are interesting but hardly why I paid a subscription.
UP 5672 is a GE AC44. That train was more than likely doing work at the yard west of diamonds “delayed in the block”. 2 great webcams here to watch trains. The BNSF train was the local that BNSF feeds cars to the UP at Global 3.
That was great?
