In this episode of Midday Modeler — 09-07-2022 Bryson Sleppy shows off how to install lights in an HO scale passenger car. Eric White show off interesting uses for holiday lights in a vintage Lionel o gauge passenger car. Kent Johnson opens up a LGB 1:29 scale Amfleet passenger car.

Midday Modeler is a new, regular video segment, recorded live and unscripted from Kalmbach Media beginning in February 2022.

The segment features Kalmbach Media staff modeling and talking about model railroads in a casual format. It is unscripted and presented via Facebook on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. Central time each week. Anyone who sees the video on Facebook can comment and ask questions, or just say “hi!”

Shortly after the Facebook live stream, the Midday Modeler — 09-07-2022 video is taken down from Facebook and posted to Trains.com where it is available only to Model Railroader Video Plus members and Trains.com Unlimited Members.

  1. This was a good episode. I tried to catch the live edition on Facebook, but, not a real convenient time.
    Glad you’re going to continue.
    It does look like you’re all having fun. That’s what model railroading is all about.

  2. As you are pointing out the electrical “bulkhead” is not secured to anything and by watching you try to keep it aligned during reassembly, it would have been great if the manufacturer put alignment grooves in the shell to keep it in place.
    Poor engineering, IMHO!

  3. Hi George. We’re working on that, but it’s not ready yet. The day will come, however, where you will be able to watch the program live on Trains.com and comment on it in real time. We’ve got a lot of big improvements in video coming to TDC soon. Thanks for the note!

  4. I am going to miss not being able to easily catch it live when I’m on the road. Maybe you could have trains.com discord for live interaction
