Midday Modeler — 08-24-2022 — this week during #Amtrakweek hosted by Steve Sweeney.

This week Steve leads a whole-crew model and toy-train fun run with Hal Miller, Kent Johnson, Cody Grivno and Bryson Sleppy. Watch the guys operate train in N, HO, and O27! Only at Trains.com!

Midday Modeler is a new, regular video segment, recorded live and unscripted from Kalmbach Media beginning in February 2022.

The segment features Kalmbach Media staff modeling and talking about model railroads in a casual format. It is unscripted and presented live via Facebook on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. Central time each week. Anyone who sees the video on Facebook can comment and ask questions, or just say “hi!”

Shortly after the Facebook live stream, the Midday Modeler — 08-24-2022 video is taken down from Facebook and posted to Trains.com where it is available only to Model Railroader Video Plus members and Trains.com Unlimited Members.

  1. Wow, just wow. Great job by the host Steve and “guests” and outstanding camera work by Jenny, train chasing is a craft and she’s got it. Had the opportunity to ride Amtrak through Appalachia twice (Huntington to DC and back on the Cardinal and Huntington to Charlottesville) both great experiences and great food. Bryson was correct, you don’t see America better than by train travel. Thanks.

  2. Need a fresh article on Pike Size Passenger Trains. Maybe a early 1970s “rainbow” train next time.

  4. Very good camera work, especially on the layouts – subjects kept well centered, smooth motion and no quick or jerky movements
