In this week’s Midday Modeler — 07-06-2022 episode, David Popp hosts an all-star cast showing off model buildings or out trackside!
Guest stars include Jenny Freeland and Nastassia Putz discussing their kitbash contest buildings. Meanwhile, Kent Johnson and Brian Schmidt were LIVE by remote from the crossroads of Canada Duplainville, Wis., at the diamond intersection of Canadian National and Canadian Pacific.
Behind-the-scenes work this week was with Vince Clore, Diane Martin, and Ben Lake.
The kitbash challenge this year features N scale and HO scale models from Walthers. The models are based on a Union Pacific depot prototype.
Midday Modeler is a new, regular video segment, recorded live and unscripted from Kalmbach Media beginning in February 2022.
The segment features Kalmbach Media staff modeling and talking about model railroads in a casual format. It is unscripted and broadcast live via Facebook on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. Central time each week. Anyone who sees the video on Facebook can comment and ask questions, or just say “hi!”
Shortly after the Facebook live stream, the Midday Modeler — 07-06-2022 video is taken down from Facebook and posted to Trains.com where it is available only to Model Railroader Video Plus members and Trains.com Unlimited Members.
I remember years ago, there were “Arnold” Rapido trains and I think they were N scale. Are the current Rapido trains an offshoot of them or stand alone?
Thanks.

I’m having trouble watching this Midday Modeler 7-6-2022. there was a lot of buffering going on and it was getting worse as it was getting near the end. I was wondering if this was caused on your end? I watch videos on YouTube with no interruptions. Thanks, Ken Harris.
Great Mid-Day folks. Jenny and Nastassia are doing great on the hair salon and restaurant kit bashes. Especially like Jenny’s stone front and Nastassia’s flooring work, looks great ladies. Trackside was a good idea by Kent and Brian but you never know what might come along the track, sometimes its trains sometimes its dump trucks 🙂 Thanks.
