Power-reversing switches are commonly used when wiring switch motors or creating reverse loops on DC-powered layouts. Learn how to make your own reversing switches using a common double-pole double throw toggle switch.

  1. Hey David, I see how this can work for a DC system, now can you show us how to wire for a DCC system. such as an Automatic Reversing Unit, What brand?(nce, ect) How to wire it? Gauge of wires to use? Where is a good place to install on a layout? Wiring is not my best quality and could use any and all help there. Can you still use toggle switches with DCC system?
