Model Railroader 2026 Calendar
Don't miss Model Railroader’s all-new 2026 calendar, featuring Rod Stewart's spectacular layout!
out with the old Bay Junction in with the new Part 2 is tare down before any layout is built the old layout has to be torn down to make way for the new buildings. it is the life of a model railroad
I have watched all of these numerous times, and would like to ask: What happened to the shell station?
can't wait to see it when it's done
i like the idea behind this but really not all of us have room for a huge layout
I would like to suggest that this and future project railroads be offered as part of the Dream-Plan-Build series of videos. I like the updates as done know but the whole thing as a single video would be awesome.
Boy, what a dream job! Sit around all day building model structures, playing with model trains and, getting paid for it? It just don't get any better than that!!! Some guys have all the luck, lol. Keep up the great work fellas, I can't wait to see the finished project.
I am also getting back into the hobby. I have a new basement room to build a layout in at last so enjoying seeing how you plan the new layout and select and build your stuctures. It is just what I need to help me along. I will be watching each session you do – keep up the good work we really do appreciate seeing the behind the scenes views.
I just love the videos for the project layouts. A picture is worth a thousand words.
Looks good , with the track work for the interchange, and industry will a local be assigned to the area, will thur frieght setout and p/u cars here. The coal mine will that be a differant job that will head down the branch to spot the mtys and pull the loads. Looking forward to seeing more.
great team work.it`s good to see all staff working in the same project.keep working.
Enjoyed viewing the first 3 videos of the Junction. Wish they were longer and more detailed. Perhaps you can produce a full length DVD recording of the full project with lots of modeling details and how tos.
I'll stop drulling long enough watch the rest the the project. I currently don't have the room the build another layout, I plan on moving to a larger location soon. I can see that they have a lot of good ideas and I find it enjoyable to watch the masters at work.

Being fortunate to see the Williams Bay project completed during a tour of the MB&T (another bucket list item!) it is so cool to see the construction of what we have already seen…..
Sworn to secrecy, all I can say is: STAY TUNED….it is THAT GOOD!
I need to find a job like you people have. I'm not much of a Journalist, but I am willing to learn that aspect of it if I could get paid to sit around and build a Model Railroad. I'm really looking forwards to seeing this project when it's completed.
I can't believe you guys get paid to do this for a living…UUGGHH!
I envy you guys!
Currently I am "getting back into" the hobby and for the last five years have been tryin to do so! I really enjoy watching things develop in these segments and in the magazine as well. It is really helpful to watch this as I do not currently have any area to build my own. For now I will just continue to purchase rolling stock and buildings for the storage unit!
As I am just beginning in RR modeling. I cannot wait for the project to develop. I look forward to learning from this endeavor. Thanks!
Very good. The use of video media in these small segments is excellent. Keep it up.
Happy Thanksgiving one and all! I found this to be very motivating and I'll be checking back to see the progress and looking forward to the Jan. 2011 issue.
I always enjoy seeing the different stages of a project. It is so nice to put voices to the people that write for the magazine. I find the articles in the Model Railroader Magazine both interesting, informative and an inspiration to the hobby. Keep up the great work guys.
I am looking forward to see how that station turns out.

I just joined and checking things out for the first time. I see and read the articles put together by the staff at the magazine. It's nice to actually see a video of a project and finally put some voices to everyone who writes the colums for Model Railroader.
I too, have one of the turrets that Neil is working with. I'll be interested to see where his thoughts end up.
Reading the articles inyour magazine is great but seeing them in video form gives the viewer a different perspective.
Great job guys! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
