Super nice, Seth!
very cool nicely done layout…
WOW. For a “fantasy” very prototypical and looks like it could be set in Colorado (given “Aurora” and the mountains, pine and aspen trees). The spirit and influence of John Allen at work.
fantastic layout !!!!
Beautiful. Well detailed scenes and great modeling. Good job.
Great layout, I’ve watched this video a number of times and keep seeing new things. Really inspirational.
Wonderful job Seth! I’m of the same ilk, I believe in weathering everything to various degrees! We have a mutual friend, Jim Baker who owned Baker’s Hobby in St. Cloud. I know Jim from when he and his wife had a sailboat on Leech Lake.
Nice layout with great attention to detail. Thanks
This has got to be one of the best layouts I’ve had the pleasure of viewing
Great attention to the fine details that make a top notch model railroad. Thanks for sharing your skills with all of us.
Thanks again for all the nice comments!!! Like I said earlier, it was a ton of fun working with the MRVP folks on this project.
Structures and scenery are amazing this will go on my list of favorite railroads. Thank you for sharing your art with us.
Great modeling and flow of scenery, color and weathering. Thanks for sharing and would love to see it in person.
Great layout and details!
If my layout ever reaches a completion I only hope it come out half a good as yours.
Incredible layout. Great job!
Great tour. I appreciate the variety of video shots – close ups, mid-range, and fully pulled back (so you can see the benchwork, etc). The ‘pull back’ shots are important for giving context to the layout, and are often missing from layout tours. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing your layout with us … that was really quite well done. I like the theme and all of the scratch built buildings. Painting the figures with oils really helped bring them to life.
Super nice layout Seth and for all the right reasons. I too have minor era mis-match areas on my layout, but it does not bother me… and I have fun with the hobby too. Like your correct running speed, fine detail, lighting, kitbashing and weathering everything to tone down the models. Hope to meet you someday and visit.
Seth, what a marvelous tour of your layout. Renee and I opened this up this morning and were delighted to see all of your work. It has been so long since we were able to stop and see it in person, and maybe the next time we come north we need to make time to stop in. A delight to see this on MRVP.
Beautiful model railroad and structures. I love all of the small details. Best regards.
Nice theme and details. Like your locomotive paint scheme colours. Excellent structure work – looks professionally done and fills the small urban themes with nice variety.
By the way, I do remember your name and first MR article.

Thanks again everyone. Mark, you can contact me at pbltrains@gmail.com. I read my email almost everyday, so I could give you directions via that method. Robert, no, no formal art training. My dad painted signs for businesses many years ago and his work was superb. He’s the one that really encouraged me when I was young. I also have had the fortune to meet some great people in the hobby who have been willing to share their techniques.
Really nice, enjoyed the tour !
Hey Seth,
Longtime fan of your layout and have always thought it deserved to be shared with more people. Thanks to the MRVP crew for doing so, and for your willingness to share your wonderful miniature world with the rest of us!
Your statement Seth….”The layout is just my version of fun”…..says all that the hobby needs to say. I enjoyed your layout and the video of it. Thanks Seth.
