  1. That’s a beautiful layout, Matt. The operating scheme is impressive. Not to mention the roster of motive power & rolling stock. Thanks for sharing it with us.

  2. Matt – I was born Morristown in 1962 and my parents lived there for their entire lives. What a fantastic layout. I felt like I was looking at a mini version of many familiar places.Rich Bilotti

  3. Great layout Matt, lived in that area growing up and drove by that New Market pond many times on the way to that great Railroad Model Shop in Piscataway across the tracks. Watched many Lehigh Valley trains including the Snowbirds cruise through those crossings. Thanks for the memories.

  4. Enjoyed seeing the great evolving layout. The NS Business Car Special was a great way to take us through the scenes!

  5. Thank you for your years of work and creation. The entire HO line is stupendous. I hope that it is, in some way, able to be preserved for future generations. Again, I appreciate your passion for the hobby and your willingness to continuously upgrade the line to comply with current conditions of the prototype lines. And, all DC!!!!!

  6. Great Layout Matt and right in my backyard. I lived in Central New Jersey for 25 years before moving cross the river to Staten Island. I know sone of the industry’s and yards. Would love to see an ops session.

  7. Truly spectacular – I was able to recognize many of the modeled locations as I am a long-time New Jersey resident and railfan! This is top notch modeling.

  8. Did you paint all the industrial buildings on the backdrop yourself or did someone do that for you? I’d love to see an MRR how-to article on that kind of backdrop creation with buildings and structures and far off cityscape buildings and skyline!

  9. Great layout Matt. Looks like you’ve had a lot of fun. I couldn’t believe my eyes at the sight of your locomotive collection. Thanks for sharing your talent on MRVP.
