Cementing painted plastic parts

Cody, new to weathering and painting i have a question, when doing plastic models etc,
are you suppose to build the structure first then paint the item or the other way around?
good tips
I have used Weld-On Acrylic cement with greater success. Their #4 cement sets extremely fast and works on styrene as well as acrylic plastics. It comes in a varity of set speeds to allow greater working time if needed. Unlike Plastrut cements, this costs about $4.00 per quart and is readily available from most wholesale plastic suppliers. It is applied in the same way as shown in the video.
Thanks for Plastruct Bondene tip for painted surfaces, Cody. I'll definitely file that one away. Do you also have a good adhesive for assembling pre-painted wood kits? Thanks.
