I have been told to use 91%, as it is stronger. Other than being careful not to put too much on and damage ties and scenery, do you have any comment regarding the stronger solution? Is it better, or both work equally well? Thank you.
i have used this it works
I’ve tried isopropyl alcohol on my Kato unitrack, but lacquer thinner works even better in keeping the DCC signal from being interrupted due to dirty, oxidized track. However, I need to be very careful in applying it (I use a Q-tip) since the thinner will discolor the plastic track bed if it contacts it. Alcohol doesn’t cause that problem.
What a guy!
You mention 70% Isopropyl Alcohol – higher concentrations are easily available. Any better or worse?
Love these quick tips!
from cleaning locomotives, laying and cleaning track, and adding scenery alcohol is very handy.
Great comment, alcohol has myriad of uses in model RRing. That is the denatured type. Spirits are best used after operating sessions.
