A street car passes houses and cars in a neighborhood on a model railroad layout

Chicago Surface Lines streetcar no. 3278 rumbles through a bungalow-lined south-side neighborhood on a cold morning in December 1944. The streetcar, a WP Car Corp. brass model, is based on a Brill prototype built in 1926. Bob Kosic of Orland Park, Ill., built the HO scale diorama, and his brother Matt photographed it.
