Walthers HO ACF-design 1958 covered hopper features:

  • 33” metal wheels
  • All-new model
  • Based on American Car & Foundry 1,958-cubic-foot capacity two-bay covered hopper
  • Proto-Max metal couplers
  • Separate, factory-applied Ajax brake wheel, air reservoir, discharge gates, and vibrator brackets
  • Thin-profile stirrup steps, end ladders and platforms, and see-through running boards

Release date: Winter 2026

Road names: Ann Arbor (black with white graphics); Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe (Freight Car Brown with circle-cross herald in square); Chicago & North Western (gray with “Chicago and North Western System” ball-and-bar herald); Denver & Rio Grande Western (gray and black with “Flying Grande” lettering); Erie (black with yellow herald); Halliburton Oil Well Cementing Co., Duncan, Okla. (gray and red); Kosmos Portland Cement Co. Inc., Kosmosdale, Ken. (gray); and Southern Ry. (gray). Three road numbers per scheme; also available painted gray with data only and undecorated.
