Sunset Models 3rd Rail has announced a partnership with Third & Townsend Models, marking a shift in the company’s operations. Jay Escamilla of Third & Townsend will now oversee all production for Sunset Models and Golden Gate Depot projects.
Scott Mann, CEO of Sunset Models Inc., announced he will enter a phase of semi-retirement in which he will continue handling sales for certain product lines.
In a press release announcing the partnership, Jay Escamilla wrote, “Customers and dealers can rest assured that this change will not affect the quality, timeliness, or authenticity of our projects. The factories, design teams, tooling, and all aspects of manufacturing remain exactly the same, ensuring continuity in the craftsmanship and precision that you have come to expect from Sunset Models and Golden Gate Depot.”
Third & Townsend has confirmed that “all existing reservations and upcoming projects will proceed without interruption” and no action is needed on the part of customers who may have prior standing orders with Sunset Models or Golden Gate Depot.
“We are excited about this new chapter and remain fully committed to delivering models that honor the railroads we all love. Thank you for your continued trust and support as we move forward together,” wrote Jay Escamilla.
