Model railroad manufacturer Exactrail has announced a change at the top. Software entrepreneur John Pestana is taking charge of the company’s day-to-day operations as Exactrail’s president and chief executive officer. Previous company head Chris Clune is retiring and “will continue to be a continued source of inspiration and direction for Exactrail’s precision product development team,” the release said.
Pestana is the co-founder of Omniture, a software company based in Orem, Utah. The new model railroad exec helped grow his former company from a student-run operation to a worldwide, publicly traded company with more than 1,200 employees.
Software giant Adobe bought Omniture in November 2009 for $1.8 billion. “This is an exciting time for Exactrail,” Pestana said. “I am both pleased and excited to continue building value to one of the industry’s newest and strongest brands.
