American Z Line adds Electro-Motive Division SW1500 to product line

Z scale EMD SW1500 decorated for Southern Pacific.
American Z Line’s Southern Pacific Electro-Motive Division SW1500 features cab-mounted number boxes and SP-style headlights. The end-cab switcher is painted in its as-delivered scheme and is offered in three road numbers.

American Z Line has added an Electro-Motive Division SW1500 diesel locomotive to its growing lineup of Z scale products. The first two road names announced for the end-cab switcher are Southern Pacific (scarlet and gray in three road numbers) and Reading Co. (yellow and green in two numbers).

Features on the SW1500 include prototype-specific details, traction tires, blackened-metal wheels, directional light-emitting-diode headlights, and AutoLatch couplers. The locomotive will also include adapters for replacing the AutoLatch couplers with Micro-Trains no. 905 couplers.

Z scale EMD SW1500 lettered for Reading Co.
Two road numbers will be offered on AZL’s Reading Co. SW1500. The model has an antenna on the cab roof and a single-chime air horn.
