Features on the SW1500 include prototype-specific details, traction tires, blackened-metal wheels, directional light-emitting-diode headlights, and AutoLatch couplers. The locomotive will also include adapters for replacing the AutoLatch couplers with Micro-Trains no. 905 couplers.
