  1. Enjoyed the short chat y’all had with Pelle. Your video with him lasted about 6 minutes longer than my chance to talk to him and his “groupies” at the ScaleTrains Open house in Tennessee back in 2019 (? – Pre Covid for sure….)

I second his answer about least favorite part of the hobby – WIRING. I switched over to DCC about 10 years ago, but the “retirement layout” I am building here in NC has been slow in getting up to speed – had to re-read everything about the DCC stuff again! But I’m just a day of work away from “finishing” the wiring and getting to hand-lay some track!

Needless to say, Pelles’ work is AMAZING. Even if it is mostly Union Pacific! (I started my RR career with one of the fallen flags lowered by UP…the Western Pacific, and also worked for SP before UP moved all the train dispatchers to Omahaha….) His choice to model the midwest (and I mean the REAL Midwest) with hardly a hill or river bluff is a true marvel in itself, and his reproduction of UP in the “flatlands” is so darned good!

And thanks to MR for featuring his work since day one!!!
