Vic Worthington built an impressive HO scale model of the Clay Spur bentonite plant that’s featured in the July 2015 Model Railroader. Bentonite is an absorbent clay that’s used in many industrial and consumer products and is often transported by rail.

  1. Hello! I was very interested in this Line side Industry. I'm not and N scaler or HO scaler. I'm more of a Z scaler modeler and I have but busy doing your plans in designing 3D model of the Clay Spur industry. I have almost all the building designed but now working on the detail part. Windows, Doors. Thanks! for the plans.

  2. Richard Sanford: You'll find the pictures you're looking for in the article published in our July issue.

  3. it would be nice to see a few pictures of a finished model, so that we can get a better idea of what it looks like.

  4. Thanks this is going to be my first scratch build and with these I feel very confident that it will be the best.
