Time freights 209 and 212 of the Winston-Salem Southbound Railroad meet at Eller, N.C., in 1956. Reflective of the 95-mile WSS’s two owners, Mikado 827 (right) is a former Atlantic Coast Line engine with a Norfolk & Western tender.
