  1. Remember that the vigorous ‘Challengers’ were designed for expedited Hagerstown-Connellsville service but a number of issues (especially poor balance) resulted in their banishment east of Cumberland. Sadly, all WM’s ‘Challengers’ were scrapped by 1958.
