This week’s Midday Modeler — 07-13-2022 episode features special guest star Gerry Leone, direct from Minnesota!
Midday Modeler is a new, regular video segment, recorded live and unscripted from Kalmbach Media beginning in February 2022.
The segment features Kalmbach Media staff modeling and talking about model railroads in a casual format. It is unscripted and presented live via Facebook on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. Central time each week. Anyone who sees the video on Facebook can comment and ask questions, or just say “hi!”
Shortly after the Facebook live stream, the Midday Modeler — 07-13-2022 video is taken down from Facebook and posted to Trains.com where it is available only to Model Railroader Video Plus members and Trains.com Unlimited Members.

could not hear the questions. Give Vince a mike.
Hi Dave, Jerry the tan looks good on you.
Great episode with Gerry, and thanks for the video clips of the BV5. LOVED the “Wisconsin Dells” billboard on the BV, especially the “so much to do, so much to SPEND” tagline. Anyone who’s been there knows that true!!
I do have to agree with the previous comments regarding the off-camera audio. I’ve never been able to hear any of the questions, just the studio responses.
Maybe it was the dark background on this week’s Mid Day Modeler, but it seemed to look a little on “the dark side”. Great to see Gerry.

Best episode yet!
Agree with the previous comment, the audio needs some attention. It was better this week with only the audio of the Q a problem. This might be that the only mike is on the camera and this week the whole show didn’t move around. Previously, as soon as people move from directly in front of the camera the audio levels dive.
I loved the format of this show and having Gerry on. The Only problem was the Q of the QnA; I couldn’t hear the Q. Suggestion, Mic the speaker off phone or simple have the presenters repeat the questions on camera.
Thanks and Keep up the good work.
Another great shortline would be the “Chicago, Madison & Northern”
How about an update article on “Pike Size Passenger Trains”?
Suggestion for a show – Invite Aaron from Fine Scale Modeller in a session. You could discuss similarities and differences between plastic modeling and model railroading also dioramas vs scenery, weathering of course is another common activity. In spite of the differences there are a lot of similarities between the two activities. I’m sure many of us model railroaders are also plastic modelers. After all it is Midday MODELER
Great to see Gerry and his progress on his RR. Volume much better, however the questions were hard to hear. Thanks you for Midday Modeler and the great tips you guys provide.
