Midday Modeler — 06.15.2022. This week Vince Clore and Steve Sweeney host our weekly Midday Modeler video from the Model Railroader workshop in the heart of Kalmbach Media in Waukesha, Wis.
This week, Steve demonstrates alternatives in the ongoing kitbash challenge deciding to scratch build much of the structure from wood and making clapboards from plywood. Vince and Eric White talk about a recent California operating session, while Hal Miller shows off a new O-gauge locomotive. Finally, Vince, Steve, and Nastassia Putz talk about the recent modeling boot camp where two of the crew made model freight cars and a house diorama.
Midday Modeler is a new, regular video segment, recorded live and unscripted at Kalmbach Media beginning in February 2022.
The segment features Kalmbach Media staff modeling and talking about model railroads in a casual format. It is unscripted and broadcast live via Facebook on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. Central time each week. Anyone who sees the video on Facebook can comment and ask questions, or just say “hi!”
Shortly after the Facebook live stream, the Midday Modeler — 06.15.2022 video is taken down from Facebook and posted to Trains.com where it is available only to Model Railroader Video Plus members and Trains.com Unlimited Members.
Very informative and entertaining folks. Nastassia’s house and garden with the kids chalking the driveway is brilliant; Steve is correct that your modeling is a reflection of your personality and the house models speak volumes of the modelers (I liked your outfit in the garden Vince :). The dog is the window is priceless. Good job Vince as host and Jenny on camera. Thanks.
Love these episodes, keep up the great work just wish I could watch them live but the boss won’t let me.
When I watch this on Trains.com I have to turn my computer volume up 50%. Can you increase your volume. Really low when the speakers are farther away.
Need remote microphones on the hosts.
It looks like a fun episode, but the audio is very low, except when the camera move in for a close up. Need to mike up a few people.
