David and Jenny jump right into the assembly of the removeable, wood legs and braces used to elevate the L-girder benchwork off the ground. Along the way, David shares construction tips and tricks that apply to the construction of any layout – large or small!
State Line Route in N scale: Building legs for a layout, Episode 3
I agree on the links. One thing I liked about MRVP was the tagging that allowed us to get to all the videos in a series or topic.
I agree with Eric, a link to each of the previous presentations would be nice. I like the idea of the dowels and the method you used as it would seem to be a little more economical for a limited income senior citizen.
This looks really great, and as it’s close to the dimensions of my own layout, very helpful! Watching you though is a bit like watching Norm on “This Old House:” you’ve got the right tools and materials at your fingertips. Any chance you’ll publish a list of materials and tools?
Great episode David and Jenny, the two of you make a good team in layout building. Thanks.
Could do without the earthshaking bass that overwhelmed the speaking. Background music shouldn’t be twice as loud as the people speaking.
The DCC Concepts alignment dowels are a great way to keep modules precisely aligned. Larry Puckett’s Youtube video #132 shows how to install them.
It sure would be helpful on these multi-episode videos if there were a link/links that took you to all the videos in the series.
