This easy to grow, annual flowering plant offers relatively small-scale features to garden railroaders around the country. Often used for hanging baskets and container gardens, bacopa will cascade down retaining walls or grow along embankments of railroad right-of-ways. The white, starry flowers appear all summer on trailing stems covered with small rounded leaves. Bacopa is a vigorous grower, so give it plenty of room. Preferring a sunny (but cool) spot with good moisture, it can be grown in warmer climates if given shade during the hottest part of the day. Propagate by rooted cuttings to get quickest results.
