UNUSUAL LIVERY: MTH’s steel refrigerator car line has added a unique road name: the no. 20-94276 Magcobar Foundry Products. Magcobar used a fleet of 10 insulated cars leased from GE Rail Services (reporting mark NIRX) to ship dry drilling mud to oilfield support sites. In addition to Magcobar, road names include Baltimore & Ohio, Canadian National, and Transport Leasing Co. The O gauge cars cost $64.95 each. HOBO ON SKIS: Lionel has announced a new O gauge Polar Express observation car available only from the Lionel Collectors Club of America. The car features a skiing hobo with a boy hanging onto his ski pole which swings from side to side as the train rounds the curves.
