- Senior Editor Cody Grivno joined the Model Railroader staff in June 2002. The Crookston, Minn., native is well-known for his painting and weathering projects. From 2008 to 2021, he hosted the popular video series “Cody’s Office.” Over the course of 275 episodes, he shared the latest hobby products, demonstrated modeling techniques, and answered viewer mail. In addition to his magazine duties, Cody hosts our online Product Review videos and monthly Ask Trains.com program. Cody is also a popular model railroad clinician, appearing at national, regional, and divisional meets. Cody’s modeling interests include the early days of the Burlington Northern (1970-1974) in his hometown, the Minnesota Northern RR, and the Illinois Central Gulf Sioux Falls Subdivision.
