Lionel Trains has released a 2025 Volume II catalog. The 44-page book includes new items in the Legacy, LionChief, Star Wars, and Accessory lines.
Highlights include a Santa Fe Super Chief set (No. 2622020), which includes two F3A locomotives, two F3Bs (one unpowered), baggage car, Pullman sleeper car, dome car, diner, three sleeping cars, and an observation car. The dome car includes a Wi-Fi camera. Requires O-31 operation for the locomotives and O-54 operation for the passenger cars. Price: $4899.99
An SD50 locomotive will be available in six road names, each with two different numbers (Kansas City Southern shown). The engine required O-54 curves for operation. Price: $699.99
60 foot Double Door Boxcars feature die-cast trucks, operating couplers, opening side doors, and O-31 operation. Four road names will be available (No. 262071 shown) Price: $139.99.
Two new train sets will be available for the United States of America’s semiquincentennial anniversary in 2026. The America Celebration (No. 2623030) includes a 4-4-0 locomotive and tender, boxcar, tank car, stock car, a remote control, a wall-pack power supply, 10 pieces of FastTrack, one FasTrack terminal section, and one Power Lock-on section. Price: $459.99.
The CSX “Spirit of America” freight set includes a Dash 8 locomotive, U.S. Autorack, tank car, boxcar, a remote control, a wall-pack power supply, 10 pieces of FastTrack, one FasTrack terminal section, and one Power Lock-on section. Price: $439.99.
Two locomotives in the Star Wars line have also been announced. The Star Wars Darth Vader LionChief Phantom Locomotive (No. 2645090) and Stormtrooper Phantom Locomotive (No. 2645100) features Bluetooth operation, Lionel Voice Control, operating LED headlight, underbody LED lighting, and O-31 operation.
