Original Thomas & Friends models up for auction

Want to own a piece of toy train television history while also benefiting a worthy cause? You’ll have that chance this month.

In a press release sent to Classic Toy Trains, auctioneer Propstore, in partnership with Mattel, is hosting an auction featuring more than 200 items from the iconic Thomas & Friends television series.

This one-of-a-kind auction features models, props, and production pieces from the original  show, which ran from 1984-2008. Pieces include a large Thomas model, Hank the American Engine, Arthur the Big Tank Engine, Sir Topham Hat, Topham Hall, and much more.

Also included in the auction are pieces signed by the British actors who voiced the Thomas & Friends characters, including Olivia Colman, Eddie Redmayne, and Hugh Bonneville.

The auction opens for registration on May 9, 2025, with bidding live from May 12-28.

Auction proceeds will benefit the National Autistic Society, the UK’s leading charity that provides support and services for autistic people and their families.
