Happy Birthday Union Station has the Midwest headquarters of Amtrak every train on the system goes through each of the 48 docks and two bypass tracks. The most interesting place to see trains around Union Station is a hot spot known as the Roosevelt overpass which passes over Amtrak’s Roosevelt yard every train that has to every corner of America go through that yard. Union Station is home of the Builder, the Chief, Zephyr, the Texas Eagle / Sunset Limited, the Cardinal, the Crescent, The Wolverine, the Hoosier State, the list goes on if it is an Amtrak train that goes to every single point in America it started here at Union Station.
