Alright, campers! Go grab your gear, because Trains.com Summer Camp 2030 is finally here. Yup! The weather has turned warm enough that we’re in the basement doing some model railroading work. So unlike your other camps where you’re out canoeing and hiking and bug collecting, Camp Director David Popp is going to tackle model railroad projects. This year’s camp theme is going to be all about, well, the little stuff that he rarely gets a chance to finish. We might call them little, but projects like weathering locomotives, adding capacitors, building bridges, assembling a cast-metal vehicle, and more, are still very significant. Get your permission slip signed, and we’ll jump right into the Day One (1 of 7) fun… exclusively on Trains.com Video!
Summer Camp 2023 | Day 1
Tune in for new activities every day between Aug. 28 - Sept. 3, 2023!
David,
Do you replace the Bachmann Couplers with Kadees?
. I found it difficult to hear exactly what David was saying during the soldering of the leads because of the background music at that point – is it necessary to have background sound?
. I have noticed that David has a hand tremor when soldering or holding small parts or tools. I have the same problem, and was wondering if he has come up with any techniques to minimise this whilst modelling.
David,
Could you have plugged the TCS cap pack into the orange connector on the sound board since that is where the Soundtrax would plug in?

Summer Camp 2030?
Hi David and Team,
I really enjoyed the summer camp videos over the past few years and am thrilled that you are making more for O3 this summer! Great video and great to be back at your camp.

My favorite time of summer, summer camp. Just ballasted a couple of industrial spurs on my layout and then summer camp.
