Putting the roll roofing on the way you did is not good construction practice. It allows water to seep into the seams and would cause the porch roof to leak. For the same reason, the upper edge should be place under the edge of the roll roofing where the porch meets the main roof of the shed. Your poor loggers are going to get wet, and will have to replace the porch roof within a year or so.
