Innovative model railroading techniques unveiled on the Hills Line
Very enjoyable to watch a great episode.
While this episode was informative and worthwhile, I had hoped for some detailed description of the final stage of your turnout construction – point prep, installation, tiebar design and wiring. Many years ago, a small company in Dayton, Ohio, offered lost-wax casting switch kits with detailed points, frog and guard rails. As with Central Valley, the points fit into the stock rails without filing notches. Unlike Central Valley, the points fit perfectly without any filing or prep. Bought a lot (code 70) and used them for most of my layout.
Looking forward to more episodes of Hills.
