Beginning in the January 2011 issue you’ll see the latest Model Railroader project layout, the HO scale Bay Junction on the Milwaukee, Racine & Troy. We built this modern junction town as part of our MR&T club layout, but we’ll show you how you can build the railroad as a standalone island or shelf layout.

Managing editor David Popp kept a video journal while we built the layout last winter. For the next several months you can follow along as the Model Railroad staff builds the layout from benchwork to final scenery. You’ll also see member of the staff working on structures and other projects in the Model Railroader workshop. We hope you enjoy your first look at Bay Junction.
