In addition to Milwaukee Road, the Rapido Trains HO Fairbanks-Morse H16-44 is decorated for Milwaukee Road; Baltimore & Ohio; Canadian National (two paint schemes); Canadian Pacific (two schemes); New York, New Haven & Hartford (two schemes); Norfolk & Western; Penn Central; and Virginian Ry. The diesel is offered in one to four road numbers per scheme.
Features on the FM H16-44 include an injection-molded plastic shell; see-through, etched-metal radiator screens; and underbody piping and conduits. The model is offered with or without dynamic brakes and a steam generator and Dofasco or Fairbanks-Morse trucks as appropriate. Among the lighting features are directional headlights, illuminated number boxes, and class lights (white and green). The model is equipped with Macdonald-Cartier metal knuckle couplers.
Direct-current models are priced at $225. Versions with an ESU LokSound V5 sound decoder sell for $335.
